Perth sits in climate zone 5 under the National Construction Code. Summers are long, dry and hot, with easterly winds that push roof spaces well past the outside temperature, and winter nights are cold enough to make an uninsulated double brick home feel damp and chilly. Good insulation slows heat moving through the ceiling, walls and floor in both directions, so the house stays cooler from December to March and holds its warmth from June to August.
Most of the homes we see were built decades ago. Many have the original batts or loose-fill in the roof, now flattened, dusty or patchy, and almost all have uninsulated double brick walls. Our work is retrofit: we fix the house you already live in, without renovations.

An assessor inspects the roof space, walls and subfloor, checks what is there now and measures the area. You get a written quote that sets out the scope, the products and the R-values. Homes built before 1990 are checked for any sign of asbestos before removal is booked; we are not licensed to remove asbestos and will tell you if a licensed removalist is needed first.
On the day, the power to the work area is isolated and the crew gains access through the roof where possible. Old insulation and dust are vacuumed out into a sealed hopper on the truck, leaving a clean roof space.
New Earthwool batts, blow-in glasswool, cavity wall fill, underfloor batts or spray foam are installed to the agreed R-value, with the required clearances kept around downlights, flues and electrical fittings.
A team leader checks coverage before the crew leaves, and you receive the product details and warranty for your records. Earthwool batts carry a 50-year manufacturer warranty.
